Our highly trained grief counselors are available to help you understand your feelings and thoughts, and guide you through the process of coping with the death of a loved one. We offer a variety of adult grief counseling and grief support group options at multiple locations across San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County.
Our adult grief support services are available to everyone in the community, including families who do not have an affiliation with The Elizabeth Hospice.
Grief group support is available for individuals, couples, families and children.
Recognizing that everyone grieves in his or her own way, we offer a range of techniques and tools. These include experiential therapy (expressive art and play), traditional talk therapy, and support groups. We also specialize in treating people whose painful emotions are so long-lasting that they have trouble coping with the loss and resuming their own life.
Grief support groups provide an opportunity to connect with others who are grieving the death of a loved one. Led by professionally trained grief counselors and volunteer facilitators, grief groups are a safe, nonjudgmental place to find comfort care and to learn coping skills. Specialty groups include Parent Loss, Child Loss and Spouse/Partner Loss. We also offer a Journey Through Loss Book Club.
Adult grief counseling sessions and grief support groups are being conducted via Zoom, a video conferencing tool. Click HERE to view the schedule of support groups.
