After Isabel’s dad died in a car accident, her mother reached out to The Elizabeth Hospice for help. Isabel began attending the Children’s Grief Support Group, a free service for all children in the community, ages 3 to 17, including those who do not have a patient affiliation with The Elizabeth Hospice.
“At Group, I met other people who understood how I felt. It’s a place where you can take off the mask you put on around other people. It opens up a whole new world.”
The Children’s Support Group is part of a comprehensive children’s bereavement program that serves San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County. Our unique offering includes on-site grief support groups in school, peer grief support groups, a summer grief camp, grief education for school professionals, and one-on-one counseling.
