Read MoreGrief is a deeply personal and complex experience. Some of the characteristic reactions to loss are anger, sadness, guilt, depression, heartbreak, difficulty concentrating, and lethargy. The passing of time eases the pain, but time alone may not be enough.
Everyone grieves differently, even when experiencing the same loss. Although we can’t tell you exactly what your grief journey will look like, we can assure you that the journey is easier when you have company and comfort care along the way.
Our grief counselors and trained volunteers are available to people of all ages (child grief support and adult grief support) through terminal illness support, bereavement support and to help them regain hope. We provide comfort care and education about grief, as well as proven tips and coping strategies to individuals, couples, families and children.
Grief support is offered to everyone in San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County, including families who do not have a patient affiliation with The Elizabeth Hospice. These services are offered at little or no charge to ensure that the entire community has access to care. No one is ever turned away for financial reasons.
