The Elizabeth Hospice in San Diego has joined forces with San Mateo-based Mission Hospice & Home Care and Hospice of Santa Cruz County to form California Hospice Network. The non-profit organization’s mission is to “enhance their local delivery of exemplary patient care and end-of-life services,” according to a press release.
Each member of the network will continue to operate independent of each other but will work with one another to share best practices in patient care, among other practices. The board of directors for the California Hospice Network will be comprised of two board members form each of the founding member hospices.
In the future, the board will recruit additional nonprofit hospice partners to advance their mission.
