Support for Veterans

“Rigo officiates ceremonies for veterans who are nearing the end of their life. He is able to build an immediate bond, even if the person served in a different branch of the military than he did,” said Lisa Marcolongo, Veterans Specialist for The Elizabeth Hospice. “It’s a beautiful thing to witness.” 

Volunteers with prior military experience (active duty or veterans) have a unique opportunity to provide emotional healing to veteran patients.

Veteran volunteers will receive comprehensive training as well as dedicated support from The Elizabeth Hospice’s volunteer coordinators.

Veteran volunteer opportunities are available in your community. We serve patients in their home or residence throughout San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County.
