Ambassador's Program

A New Role For You
People touched by hospice are a wonderful resource for those who want to learn more about hospice as an end-of-life care option. The Elizabeth Hospice is mobilizing an informal person-to-person network with the goal of increasing awareness and understanding of hospice.

The mission of The Elizabeth Hospice Ambassadors is to spread the word about this difficult, but important topic. It is not fundraising nor is formal training required. Spreading the word about hospice care can be done individually or through groups and organizations such as your church or service club. Telling a friend about hospice is a wonderful way to let them know you care.

How To Get Started
Our Ambassadors are supplied with support materials that include:

  • A wallet-sized hospice Frequently Asked Questions brochure.
  • A fact sheet about The Elizabeth Hospice.
  • A lapel pin that indicates your official status as an Ambassador of The Elizabeth Hospice.

“The job is simple, you talk to family and friends about hospice care as the occasion naturally arises—at home, work, school or church; whenever and wherever. It’s because of my experiences that I want hospice care to reach everyone who needs it. I can’t do it without your help. I hope you will join me.” – Marilyn Pollack, Ambassador's Volunteer
