30th Annual Light Up A Life - Sunday, December 2, 2012
The Center for Compassionate Care of The Elizabeth Hospice hosted our 30th annual remembrance celebration, Light Up a Life, on December 2 for our hospice families, community members, donors, volunteers and staff. More than three hundred and eighty guests were treated to an afternoon of music, inspirational readings and a special candle-lighting ceremony in honor of those who have touched our lives.
Events were held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Carlsbad Beach and the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo. Both events were open to the community and there was no cost to attend. In honor of this special annual gathering, The Elizabeth Hospice received tax-deductible contributions from many attendees and supporters. As of December 31, more than $86,000 was raised in response to Light Up a Life. Private contributions allow us to provide hospice care and grief support to all in the community who seek it. Donors who contributed $100 or greater received a 2012 commemorative crystal ornament. A limited number of ornaments are still available.
